With 25+ years of experience, I have worked in various professional and volunteer roles in wildlife conservation, animal welfare and dog behavior. I hold a biology degree from the University of Alaska, am a Certified Shelter Behavior Consultant for dogs (IAABC) and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CCPDT). During my time as a shelter director in New England, I provided care and training to a wide spectrum of dogs from situations including neglect, hoarding, and organized dog fighting. Additionally, I am a leadership and behavior team volunteer for a 501c3 all breed dog rescue. My role on the behavior team is to support foster homes and adopters with the aim of empowering people with effective motivation and communication techniques for a lasting, healthy bond with their dogs.
In my spare time, if I'm not spending time with the very best trainers and clients in Massachusetts at The Right Paw, I enjoy participating with my own dogs in competition Obedience and Rally.
